Science Friday:

Science Friday is a program aired on National Public Radio that features talk with and about real scientists. This web page supports the progam and provides other cool services including previous weeks' curricula, summer activities, and a mentor page for kids. Visit the Science Friday Web Page, sponsored by Science Central.

How Things Work:

A question and answer site with a larg repository of same. You can submit a question or search the Q and A by topic, word search, or through the table of contents. The home page takes a while to download since its reverse chronological listing is 106K large.

New Scientist:

The web site of the British magazine. Lots of news and information as well as their pick of 1600 of the best science sites on the web.

National Geographic Magazine:

Self explanatory.

Scientific American Magazine:

Very user-friendly interface. Access to some outstanding current science writing.

Learning Sites:

This company produces virtual reality tools for use by various clients, including archeologists. See a sample of their 'worlds'.

Glacier Park:

An electronic field trip sponsored by the Franklin Institute Science Museum. Find out when to go and how to register.

Nanoworld:

Gulliver's Liliputians would be towering giants in the image gallery. The great variety of images made available by the University of Queensland on this site are as awe-inspiring as the Hubble views of distant galaxies. Recommended for stirring scientific curiosity.

Brownian Motor:

Perpetual Motion? Learn about a nano-sized motor that is powered by the random molecular movement known as Brownian Motion.
