Riot passed away during the day of Sept 11, 2001 from a blocked intestine due to some bedding/rugs that he had torn up and ingested. It was a difficult day overall with the Sept 11 events, but it was particularly hard losing such a vibrant, playful boy. He will always have a place in my heart, and he is missed.
Riot had his heart assessed by a certified Pathologist for any evidence of SAS or other cardiac anomalies. His heart was found clear of any visible SAS lesions or anomalies, and was considered by the Pathologist as free of phenotypic SAS conditions.
Appearance: Riot was a very substantial Bouvier with an superb head and shoulder set. He was praised uniformly by judges as he has been growing up, with exceptional comments on his substance, overall movement, and correct coat.
He was a son of Maddie (BOS '94 ABdFC National Specialty) and a grandson of Ch. Galbraith's IronEyes (Top Dog All-Breeds '90). His father is HotShot (Specialty Select '94 ABdFC National Specialty).
Temperament: Riot was a very playful, fun-loving Bouvier, who fits his name to a "T" (as in rioT). Given the chance, Riot would play the day away, running and chasing after balls and sheep. Although a very upbeat dog, he showed the typical Bouvier stubbornness when asked to come in and rest....
Conformation Career: Riot finished very easily in the US with three 4pt. and one 3pt majors in very limited showing. Riot is growing up and filling out now, maybe to visit Canada this following year to get his Canadian Championship.
- Winner's Dog/Best of Winners , 1997 Del Valle Dog Club, Supported Entry
- Finished by going Best of Breed out of the Classes over a Top Ten Bouvier, 1997 Vancouver KC.
